BE PART OF OUR GROWING TEAM!
CBI Construction is excited to announce that we are now actively recruiting talented individuals to join our growing team! We are looking for passionate and skilled professionals who are eager to contribute to innovative and impactful construction projects.
Purpose & Role Overview
As the Construction Manager at CBI Construction, you are the operational heavyweight bridging the Director's vision with the reality on the ground. You oversee all active construction sites, ensuring our Foremen have the direction and resources they need to succeed. Your primary mission is to guarantee that every CBI project is delivered to our premium standard, strictly on schedule, and safely. You lead from the front, setting the benchmark for site culture, quality control, and proactive problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities & KPIs
You are expected to take high-level ownership of the following core areas:
1. Multi-Site Operations & Leadership
Foremen Management: Direct, mentor, and hold Site Foremen accountable to their KPIs. Ensure they are running tight, efficient, and profitable sites.
Resource Allocation: Strategically manage labour and resources across all active builds. Ensure the right tradesmen and apprentices are on the right sites at the right time to maximize productivity.
Problem Resolution: Act as the highest level of escalation for on-site issues. When things go sideways, you are expected to step in, make the tough calls, and provide immediate solutions to keep the job moving.
2. Quality Control & Safety Enforcement
The CBI Standard: Enforce our strict quality control measures across all sites. You are responsible for ensuring the "first-time right" mentality is adopted by every crew member. If it doesn't meet the CBI standard, it gets rebuilt.
Site Safety: Drive a zero-tolerance culture for safety hazards. Ensure all sites are fully compliant with WHS regulations and our internal "STOP, STEP BACK, ASSESS" protocols.
3. Strategic Planning & Collaboration
Project Manager Alignment: Work hand-in-hand with the Project Manager to ensure site realities match the budgets, schedules, and material procurement plans.
Executive Reporting: Provide the Director with clear, concise, and accurate weekly updates on site progress, potential bottlenecks, and overall operational health.
Client Assurance: Step in for high-level client walk-throughs and critical site meetings to reassure clients of our commitment to excellence.
